Music Dialogue has recently certified three new Music Dialogue Artists (hereinafter referred to as MD Artists): Chisa Kitagawa (violin), Yuya Mizuno (cello), and Yuki Yoshimi (piano), who have been studying both domestically and abroad and are expected to have great future successes. Together with the 19 MD Artists in total, we will continue to increase the opportunities for dialogue through music in society.
In their activities as performers, MD Artists are expected to continue to seek to deepen their musicality, and also to seek, through dialogue, what kind of performer society needs. They are also expected to pass on the traditions and experiences they have learned through dialogue to the next generation of artists.
To mark its 10th anniversary, Music Dialogue is increasing the number of collaborative projects with MD artists, not just having them "perform," but having them get involved from the planning stage onwards and giving them the experience of teaching together with the artistic director at the Chamber Music Academy, a forum for nurturing young artists.
It is my hope that through these experiences, the students will develop into "performers with their own philosophy."
Kitagawa Chisa KITAGAWA Chisa
Winner of 89st place at the 11th Japan Music Competition and 2019 special awards including the Iwatani Award (Audience Award). XNUMXnd place at the Spivakov International Violin Competition. Winner of XNUMX other international competitions. CHANEL Pygmalion Days XNUMX Artist. Received the Ogaki City Cultural Encouragement Award and the Gifu Prefecture Arts and Culture Encouragement Award. After graduating from the Tokyo University of the Arts Music High School, he completed his master's course at the Toho Gakuen School of Music. He made his debut at the Concertgebouw School and is currently active in a wide range of fields both in Japan and abroad.
Yuya Mizuno MIZUNO Yuya
He has won numerous awards, including first place at the 89th Japan Music Competition, first place at the 1th Tokyo Music Competition, and the New Artist Award at the 13st Aoyama Music Awards. As a soloist, he has performed with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, Osaka Symphony Orchestra, and Kyoto Symphony Orchestra. He is a core member of the Japan National Orchestra. He completed the soloist diploma course at Toho Gakuen School of Music. He studied under Miklós Perényi at the Liszt Academy of Music in Hungary. He is currently studying under Clemens Hagen at the Mozarteum University of Salzburg.
Yuki Yoshimi YOSHIMI Yuki
While still in her second year of high school, she became the youngest winner of the 2th Japan Music Competition. She was a semi-finalist at the 86 Queen Elisabeth International Piano Competition and a quarter-finalist at the 2021 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. She is a CHANEL Pygmalion Days Artist of the Year in 2022. She is currently studying on scholarship at the New England Conservatory (Boston). She has studied under Alexander Corsantia, Dang Thai Son, Hisako Ueno, and Megumi Ito.
