We would like to introduce the progress of the DUO Project 2023, which started with auditions in March 3.

What is the DUO Project?
This is a project that was started in 2021 with Hakuju Hall to explore the "Duo," the smallest unit of an ensemble.
The DUO Project 2023 began with a public call for applicants in 2022. Mizukoshi Nao (violin) and Shirase Gen (piano) were selected at an audition in March 2023. They will be coached by world-renowned performers Ueda Haruko and Takezawa Kyoko, as well as artistic director Oyama Heiichiro, to help them grow over the course of six months in preparation for the main performance on November 3, 2023.
.
In addition to listening to each student's musical challenges and goals, deciding on the pieces to perform, and providing performance coaching, we also provide a wide range of support, from acquiring knowledge through online courses, taking profile photos, and holding concerts, and we produce them into professional musicians.
Through two open rehearsals and this performance, audiences will have the opportunity to experience the growth of the DUO artists and their music-making together.
